Job Description Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. This allows passengers a seamless intermodal journey that safely transports them to their final destination. What we do: Supernal is looking for a Sr. Systems Integration Engineer as a part of the overall assembly and integration product team. This role reports directly to the Aircraft Systems Integration Lead and will be responsible in ensuring there is proper collaboration across all engineering functional groups. The role will be responsible for aiding in the creation of a multitude of standardized processes and procedures, while collaborating with the design teams throughout the design phases. You will facilitate trade studies during conceptual and preliminary design efforts to meet the program's performance, weight, cost, and schedule requirements. Additionally, you will ensure all aircraft sub-system requirements are properly met and packaged efficiently within the airframe structure. This will include the building of prototype and flight test aircraft and transition to production flight vehicles. What you can do: Collaborate with various engineering subject areas to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft Zonal management of the digital mock-up for a large section of the aircraft Control space allocation for all subsystems Aid in managing routing envelopes for all subsystems Ensure all subsystems are accessible and maintainable Aid in managing interface requirements models (IRMs) for their zone Aid in managing the top aircraft assembly part number and BOM structure Hold regular design fly through meetings resolving disconnects and maturing the design through CDR Aid in managing master geometry models for the respective zone Ensure all system separation requirements are upheld Work closely with manufacturing engineering to ensure the aircraft zone is designed for manufacturing What you can contribute: Bachelor---s Degree in Engineering or related field 5-8 years--- experience in systems or structural design engineering (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) Excellent interpersonal communication skills Excellent project management skills Experience working on type certification of an aircraft Prior experience with EWIS or Environmental control systems Shop floor liaison engineering experience You may also be able to contribute: CAD and BOM experience preferred MS or PhD desired Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background check.
