Summary
This role is a direct report to the General Manager and a member of
the plant leadership team in our Westminster, CA heat treatment
plant that supports the aerospace, defense and energy industries.
The scope of the position is hiring, training, planning,
scheduling, organizing and overall direction of day to day
activities relating to production and equipment on all shifts.
Major Responsibilities
Directs activities of production foremen and supervisors, and to
set priorities for day to day equipment maintenance, and maintains
appropriate production staffing as needed to meet company
goals.
Responsible for shop production schedules and conduct production
meetings including supervisors' meetings working closely with the
Customer Service Manager.
Ensures customers' needs are appropriately met by shipping on
schedule with minimum turnaround time and a high degree of quality,
working closely with the Quality Manager.
We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following Qualifications
This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore
candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card
Holder.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Advanced related
training is preferred.
Experience: Requires extensive knowledge of heat treating,
operations management, metallurgy, inspection and customer needs
through technical and advanced training, seminars, college,
B.S.M.E. (metallurgy) and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum five years practical experience in heat treatment of
aerospace alloys, including aluminum, titanium and exotic metals or
related and the ability to manage multi-level employees and
functions with a minimum of five years' experience in a supervisory
role.
