Non-Exempt Benefits Financial Coach I: $25-$27 - 0-2 years of
experience. No financial coach certification. Financial coach
certification will be required during training process. Financial
Coach 2: $27-$30 - 2-4 years of experience and financial coach
certification. Financial Coach 3: $30-$32 - 5 years of experience
and financial coach certification or advanced degree in finance,
business, accounting, or social work. Paid Time Off - Vacation (12
days per year), after 3 months, accrued monthly. Paid Time Off –
Health (56 maximum hours per fiscal year) after 3 months. Holiday

social determinants of health. Position Summary Abrazar (to
Embrace) is seeking The SparkPoint In Schools program operator,
manages the SparkPointOC Case Managers. Responsibilities include
conducting individual intakes, budget, and credit counseling
sessions, group financial education workshops, and coordinating
other support services tailored to help individuals and families
move toward financial stability and achieve goals in a 12-month
period. This is a full-time, on-site position. Position
Responsibilities Manage referral process to ensure timely response
and appropriate tracking of services Solicit feedback from clients
and school administration to ensure program needs are met. Track
services and outcomes to conform with funder established reporting
requirements Enroll 50 new households during the program year (July
1st to June 30th). Coordinate services with partner organizations
to ensure family needs are addressed. Implement financial education
workshops for low- and moderate-income families. Organize on-site
educational opportunities for participating families with school
administration. Financial Case Management Train in financial
concepts using FDIC, CFPB, and Financial Social Work Concepts.
Coordinate client flow to meet families' employment, financial,
education, and housing needs. Work with staff and school
administration to ensure intakes and assessments are completed for
all incoming families. Conduct intake appointments to enroll new
clients (annual goal 50). Create and monitor tailored action plans
with clients to help them manage income, reduce debt, improve
credit, and increase assets. Provide coaching and connect clients
to appropriate resources to meet families' employment, financial,
education, and housing needs. Ensure adequate referral processes
are in place for in-house program offerings, including budget
coaching, housing counseling and eviction prevention, financial
education, and other services. Participate in monthly program
meetings, biweekly supervision with the program director, and
school-related activities as available (weekly teacher meetings,
monthly Principal meetings, etc.) Maintain a caseload of 40-50
families. Effectively communicate with staff and school
administration of the designated schools. This position serves two
designated elementary schools in the Centralia Elementary School
District, located in Danbrook Elementary School Maintain a
cooperative and effective working relationship with the principal,
school administration, and other key school staff to assist and
participate in school activities supporting program goals.
Participate in quarterly reporting activities, including data
review, preparing narrative reports, and collecting success
stories/testimonials. Work with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
(VITA) program staff to provide free tax preparation services to
clients and the school community. Provide resources for tax-related
questions and guidance for ITIN preparation. VITA and ITIN training
will be offered and completed as part of this position. Required:
Strong commitment and understanding of the SparkPoint Center's
goals and objectives Knowledge of issues affecting low- to
moderate-income people and communities Experience in the financial
stability arena, which may include income generation strategies,
financial education and coaching, and asset development Experience
and/or ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide
range of institutions—including local government, financial
institutions, local businesses, community-based organizations, and
community groups Ability to compare and contrast financial
information. Good knowledge of the principles, practices, and
techniques of financial and credit counseling, including
understanding and interpreting credit reports Ability to promote
the use of coaching and cultural sensitivity in engaging center
clients Experience working with families identified as
McKinney-Vento Experience developing and managing comprehensive
individual case plans and working with diverse populations Willing
to participate in ongoing trainings, including Covered California
Certified Application Assistor to link families with health
insurance Ability to develop and maintain positive work
relationships with school staff and volunteers Excellent oral and
written communication skills. Good presentation skills.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, with proven results – ability to get
the job done Able to work in an unstructured environment and adapt
easily to change Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint); knowledge of and experience with Efforts to
Outcomes software is a bonus. At least five years of related
professional experience (work with public/private sector
leaders/decision makers, leadership in the community, and
fundraising). Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public
Administration, or related social science or equivalent Minimum
1-year experience working on a school campus or similar field Must
be bilingual (Spanish/English) Access to a car, a California
Driver's License, car insurance, and a satisfactory driving record
are conditions of initial and continued employment. Regardless of
